Stop cannibas shops near Nesbit School
Update:
Way to go, team! Thanks to the numerous eastern Belmont residents who spoke up at city meetings and wrote emails to the city, the Belmont City Council voted on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, to ban cannabis zoning along Ralston Avenue and Old County Road.
The City Council also decided to table the issue of cannabis zoning in other proposed parts of the city (e.g., El Camino and along Shoreway Road near 101) and is planning to conduct more community outreach before making a decision on other cannabis zoning.
It’s important that we speak up during that upcoming community outreach period to support our El Camino residential neighbors, who’ve spoken up loud and clear to say they don’t want cannabis next door to them.
Please join our email list to learn more about how you can engage with the city in its next stage of decision making on cannabis.
